Art of Permanent Make-up

Permanent makeup, also called "micropigmentation," involves the micro-implantation of mineral extract into the skin similar to tattooing. This ancient practice, which has beautified women in Asia for centuries, is available at our spa through our safe and modern technology. All of the dyes used are allergy-teste, vegetable based. Permanent makeup gives you a feeling of freedom 24 hours a day, in all situations. Biking, hiking, swimming, sleeping, holidays, travelling, working, or being a mom! Permanent makeup does not fade, smear or run in all of these situations. Imagine waking up and knowing you can just walk out the door. Think of the extra sleep you will get. Give us a call, and be prepared to press the snooze bar every morning, as you wake up to the beautiful and ...

What to Expect

"I apply special dyes through a delicate hand-piece specifically designed for applying permanent makeup. A topical or local anesthesia is used to prevent any pain or discomfort during the procedure. A complete upper and lower lash line takes about 90 minutes.

In an eyelid procedure the pigment is placed subtly between the lashes, into the dermis, or second layer of your skin. This creates the appearance of a soft lash liner. Using a variety of micro-needle styles, I can also create the appearance of tiny eyebrow cilia. At first, permanent makeup results may look too strong due to color remaining in the outermost epidermal layers of skin. Color softens within a few days as the upper layers of epidermis slough and new epidermal cells replace them.

Following breast reconstruction, some clients choose to have their nipple-areola complex reconstructed to the area to be reconstructed. When the pigmentation is first applied it will seem darker than the natural areola. This will fade slightly over time, resulting in a natural look.

Patients with pigmentation loss from vitiligo, scars or burns may also benefit from micro-pigmentation. One session is usually sufficient to pigment an area of up to three square inches and can be performed using local anesthesia. When touch-ups are required, they may be done at a later date."

Recovery

"Most clients enjoy an almost immediate recovery and resume all normal activities within 24 hours of their micropigmentation treatment. Topical antibiotic ointment is used for a few days. You will need to refrain from applying makeup, avoid direct sunlight, and avoid wearing contact lenses for a few days. Some patients may experience a slight swelling in the treated areas. This will subside with the use of a cool compress."

Referrals?

"Yes, receive $50.00 credit towards your next procedure for every client you refer who books one or more procedures with us."
